Each Hunter is provided with their own personal guide and 5 full hunting days. Trophies will be delivered to the tanner/shipper at our expense. License and tags are available in camp. Trophy fees for one Black Bear are included in the hunt cost. You can take up to three Black Bears on this hunt. The 2nd and 3rd Black Bears are additional animals and a trophy fee is due after animal is taken (see below). Licenses and tags are available in camp.

This is a fully guided and outfitted hunt and includes all bush flying between Fairbanks and camp, camping gear and equipment needed for your hunt. You will have your own guide and camp with 10 full hunting days if you need it. Trophies will be delivered to the tanner/shipper at our expense. License and tags are available in camp. Our spring black bear hunt takes place out of our Yukon River hunting area in early June. This time of year is when the boars are traveling a lot in search of sows. They like to eat the new grass shoots but, their favorite meal is a fresh born moose calf. We like to hunt these spring black bears over bait with a tree stand or ground blind. There are a good number of big, trophy quality black bears in this area. The black bears that we have taken over the years from our hunting area average right at 6’ 5”. We have taken quite a few trophy black bears from right in our base camp. They were all boars that measured 6’ 2”, 6’ 2 ½ “, 6’ 5 ½ “, 6’ 8 ½” and 6’ 9”! These bears all had really nice thick spring hair and are black bears that any hunter would be proud of! In this area a hunter can harvest three black bears each year.

On this spring black bear hunt we will hunt over active baits, or spend some time glassing from hills in the area for any bears that are moving around. As an added bonus on this hunt, you will also go home with an Alaskan beaver hide to add to your trophy room. Also included in your hunt is the expert handling of your bear hide. This includes skinning your bear out for your choice of life size or rug mounting, turning the ears, splitting the lips and eyes, skinning out the feet and fleshing the hide before salting and drying the bear hide. We will also deliver your bear hide to our tanner/shipper for no extra cost. We are proud to offer a quality, personalized hunt for spring black bear in Alaska.
